One last attempt!

Yes, it's true I keep flip-flopping on playing poker part time.  This is one last attempt at it.  After reading an article on Matt Maroon's blog, The Poker Chronicles, it gave me a great deal of inspiration.  Learning about the side you rarely hear about from the pros opened my eyes to see a broader picture of playing poker for an income.

Who Am I Kidding

Ok, so maybe trying to play poker for a living is a bit of a daydream fantasy.  I've been making half-hearted attempts for four years now.  Maybe it's time to just give it a rest now.

Time to Play

Since my brief hiatus from online poker I haven't really dived back in full swing.  I started playing again back in April, but have not put in a whole lot of hours (only 78 hours).  Granted, I am up $615 but in all reality it doesn't mean much since it's not enough hours to show steady data.  What I really need is to set some time aside each day to play.  Even if it is only a couple hours a day it's at least something.  For some reason I always have the mindset that if I sit down and play poker it should at least be for a minimum of four hours.  I think it mainly comes from playing live all the time where I would play for at least 6 hours.  There were even times I played a couple of 14 hour sessions, but that was just a bit of insanity on my part.  There's absolutely no way I could play that long online in one sitting.  In cardrooms you get table-side food service which is something you don't get playing at home online (unless you have your own personal butler).  Anyway, basically I need to make time to play online.  Shame on me for wasting all this time this year procrastinating.  Time to get serious if I want to make poker a supplementary income.
